Studio pottery has become another of my passions since living in France. Spending loads of weekends going to Vide Grenier markets I found lots of lovely old pots, jugs and bowls being sold by elderly couples. When I asked them why they were selling them I was normally told "our children have bought us some lovely new things from Ikea, we don't need these old things"! How lucky was I to find them.
Mind you, I do like new stuff too. In this image I have combined vintage, secondhand and new and I think they all look good together. So, what's what ... large jug is vintage, small jug is second hand and probably 20 years of age and the little pot is new.
